How To Make Lemony Waldorf Fish Filets For Microwave


  • 1 cup apple, chopped
  • 1 cup herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1 lb frozen cod or 1 lb another fish filet, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 cup celery, thinly sliced
  • 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise or 1/4 cup salad dressing
  • 1⁄4 cup walnuts, chopped




Step 1

Combine apple, celery, and butter or margarine in a 1-quart microwave-safe bowl.

Step 2

Cover the bowl and microwave on 100% power (HIGH) for 2-3 minutes, or until the celery reaches a crisp-tender texture.

Step 3

Add stuffing mix, mayonnaise or salad dressing, walnuts, and lemon juice to the bowl; mix well and set aside.

Step 4

In a 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish, place the block of fish.

Step 5

Cover the dish and microwave for 5 minutes, giving it a half-turn after 3 minutes.

Step 6

Drain off any excess juices.

Step 7

Create 4 mounds of stuffing around the fish in the dish.

Step 8

Cook the dish uncovered for 2-3 minutes or until the fish easily flakes when tested with a fork, and the stuffing is heated through.
