How To Make 5 Ingredient Spaghetti
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
- 1⁄2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 fresh lemons
- 2⁄3 cup olive oil
- 2⁄3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- one box Barilla spaghetti
Grate the lemon peels until you have 1 tablespoon of lemon zest.
Extract the juice from the lemons until you have 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice.
In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
While preparing the sauce, cook the pasta following the package instructions.
Drain the pasta, making sure to reserve 1 cup of the cooking water.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the lemon sauce and toss it with the basil and lemon zest.
Season the pasta with salt and pepper according to your taste.
