How To Make The Best Tofu Scramble

INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb firm tofu, crumbled
- 1 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1⁄4 teaspoon basil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2
Prepare the sauce by mixing crumbled tofu, garlic, nutritional yeast, tamari, mustard, turmeric, sage, basil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
Step 3
When the tofu mixture is brown and all the liquid has evaporated, add it to the onions and scramble it until it is cooked through.
Step 4
Serve immediately after tossing with tomatoes.
