How To Make Appetizer Grape Jelly And Chili Sauce Meatballs Or Lil Smokies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1(32 ounce) jar grape jelly
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2(12 ounce) jars chili sauce
  • 3 -5lbs frozen cooked small meatballsĀ

DIRECTIONS

Step 1

Mix the grape jelly and chili sauce in a pot, then add the meatballs and let them simmer for approximately 45 minutes without a cover, until the sauce thickens. For those following my Parmesan meatball recipe, you can opt for 2-1/2 to 3 pounds of lean ground beef or a combination of beef and ground pork. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked. Finally, transfer the cooked meatballs into the previously prepared sauce.
