Discover Your PAN Card Number through the Income Tax Website

To obtain information about your PAN card, you’ll need to follow a slightly more detailed process. Once you register on the Income Tax Department’s e-Filing website, you can access your PAN details, including your address.

Follow the step-by-step instructions below:

1: Visit the Income Tax Department’s e-Filing website.

2: Click on the ‘Register Yourself’ button.

3: Choose the appropriate user type and click “Continue.”

4: Fill in your basic information in the provided fields.

5: Complete the Registration Form and click the “Submit” button.

6: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the email address and phone number you provided.

7: Enter the OTP and complete the registration process.

8: Sign in to your account on the e-Filing website.

9: Click on “Profile Settings.”

Discover Your PAN Number by Name and Date of Birth

PAN cardholders can now find their PAN number by simply providing their name. This means you can know your PAN by name and date of birth.

To find your PAN number using your name and date of birth, follow these steps:

Please note that there is currently no mechanism to check PAN Card data using only Name and Date of Birth. However, you can check your PAN Card details by validating your PAN and entering your name and date of birth.

 

To validate your PAN Card, follow these steps:

1: Go to the e-Filing main page of the Income Tax Department.

2: In the “Quick Links” section, click on “Verify your PAN Details.”

3: Enter your PAN, complete name, and date of birth.

4: Select your status, such as individual, Hindu undivided family, association of persons, body of individuals, corporation, government, artificial juridical entity, local authority, or corporation or trust.

5: Enter the “Captcha Code” for verification.

6: Click on “Submit.”

7: You will be directed to a new page stating, “Your PAN is Active, and the information matches with the PAN Database.”

 

Discover Your PAN Card Number via Email

You can find out the details of your PAN by sending an email. Send an email to either tininfo@nsdl.co.in (NSDL’s official email address) or utiitsl.gsd@utiitsl.com (UTIITSL’s official email address).

 

Discover Your PAN Card through the Mobile Application

You can also retrieve information about your PAN card using the Indian PAN Card mobile app. Follow these instructions:

  1. Install the PAN Card mobile app on your smartphone.
  2. Open the app and go to the bottom of the main page, then click on ‘Know your PAN details.’
  3. Enter the required information, including your mobile phone number.
  4. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your phone. Enter the OTP in the provided box and click the Submit button.
