How To Make Baked Pot Stickers- Sweet Asian Dipping Sauce – Chicken Egg Roll

INGREDIENTS

  • 1(10-ounce) can of white chicken meat, drained and flaked
  • 1(8 ounce) can water chestnuts
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1⁄2 cup green onions top, thinly sliced
  • 1⁄2 cup jalapeno jelly
  • 1⁄4 cup carrot, grated
  • 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1⁄4 cup rice vinegar
  • 24 square wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • dipping sauce

DIRECTIONS

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C), getting it ready for the cooking process ahead.

Step 2

In a spacious bowl, combine the chicken, water chestnuts, green onions, carrot, ginger, soy sauce, egg white, mayo, and garlic, ensuring a thorough and well-mixed filling.

Step 3

Now, it’s time to assemble the potstickers. Place 12 wonton wrappers on a smooth, clean, and dry surface. Gently brush the edges of each wonton with water. Take approximately 1 tablespoon of the filling and place it at the center of each wonton. To secure the filling inside, fold the corners of the wonton toward the middle, employing an envelope-style technique, though you’re welcome to get creative with the folding.

Step 4

Place the prepared wontons on a cookie sheet, giving them a light spray of Pam or olive oil. Repeat this process with the remaining wontons, ensuring each one is filled and folded to perfection.

Step 5

Now, it’s time to bake the potstickers, so pop the cookie sheet into the preheated oven. Bake them for about 12-15 minutes or until they achieve a delightful golden brown color, giving them a crispy texture.

Step 6

While the potstickers are baking, you can prepare a delicious dipping sauce. Grab a small bowl and place the jelly inside. Microwave it on high for about 30-40 seconds or until it warms up. Add vinegar and soy sauce to the warmed jelly, and then whisk everything together until you have a perfectly blended dipping sauce.

Step 7

Once the potstickers are baked to perfection, serve them alongside the delightful dipping sauce, and enjoy the delectable flavors of your homemade potstickers!
