How To Make Mozzarella Sticks
INGREDIENTS
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 1 cup Italian style breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, cut into 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch strips
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup jarred pizza sauce or 1 cup marinara sauce
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Mix the milk and eggs.
Step 2
The cheese should be coated with flour, then dipped in egg, followed by breadcrumbs.
Step 3
Once again, dip the crumbs and egg into the mixture.
Step 4
Frying should be done within 6 to 24 hours of freezing.
Step 5
A skillet with oil should be heated and the sticks should be cooked until golden brown and the cheese has begun to leak.
Step 6
Paper towels should be used to dry the drain.
Step 7
Dip in the sauce before serving.
