Aren’t you enthralled?
So, do you want to register an online account with SBI (State Bank of India) as well?
Yes! It’s simple.
To open an account with SBI, you do not need to go to any of the bank’s branches to fill out the form and waste your time! You can open an account by filling out the account opening form from the convenience of your own home.
All you need is an internet-connected computer or laptop. Following the instructions, you may fill out the form in your own time and follow the directions for successfully opening a new account at SBI Online with just a few clicks. The same approach can be used to open a SBI online account for NRE, NRO, or salary.
The following is a step-by-step guide to filling out the application form for an SBI account:
Step 1: In the search box of the internet accessing the search engine on your computer/laptop, type https://www.onlinesbi.com. You will be sent to the State Bank of India’s official website.
Step 2: At the top of the website, there are many tabs. When you move your mouse cursor over Apply SB Account, a pop-up menu will appear with numerous categories, such as For resident individuals and For NRE/NRO. You must choose the appropriate category based on your needs. When the mouse pointer is moved over For Resident Individuals, a side menu appears on the screen.
Important Note: There are three types of SBI accounts: Salary Account, Regular SB Account, and Small & Basic SB Account. If you are an employee of a company that has a tie-up with SBI and offers a Corporate Salary Package, you are eligible to register a salary account with SBI.
If you don’t meet the goal, you won’t be able to register a salary account with SBI, so you’ll need to open a Regular Savings Account instead.
When you click on the Regular SBI Account link, you’ll be sent to www.oaa.onlinesbi.com, where you’ll find detailed instructions for filling out the forms!
Step 3: You will be sent to a website that says Submit Information Online, Visit Branch with Documents, and Your Account Will Be Opened Quickly. The process of opening an account is a step-by-step one, and these are the stages to take. Apply Now will also appear on the screen; move your cursor over it and click; you will be directed to the next stage in the account opening process.

Because these sections are optional, it is up to you to fill them out with accurate information and as needed.
The next step is to complete the section with your address information. You must fill in the essential data about your current address under Local Address. Step 10: After that, you must fill out the Account Information area. You will now be led to Account Type & Services Required, where you must choose the Account Type, such as With Cheque Book and Debit Card or any other type.

Step 11: After filling out the fields according to the criteria, click ‘Proceed.’ A temporary Account reference number (TARN) will appear on the screen and be sent to your cell phone through SMS. Save the reference number for future reference and click the’save and continue’ button once again.
Step 12: Adding or removing nominees is the next step. By selecting the save and proceed button, you can continue with your selection. To finish the online filling process, click the ‘submit’ button.
Important Reminder: There is one thing you must remember! You must complete the form as soon as possible, otherwise you will receive the message Session Expired. If your session expires while you’re filling out the form, go back to the official page and choose ‘Continue with partially filled’, then enter the TCRN number you received via SMS. You’ll be able to pick up where you left off in the middle of the page.
Step 13: After you’ve finished filling out the online form, you’ll need to make your final submission. You can download the completed application form by entering your TARN, date of birth, and captcha, and you will be invited to save a PDF copy of the information you supplied.
