The Exotic Hand Cannon Thorn, like many other weapons in Destiny 2, is a resurrected weapon
from the first game. This weapon dominated the Crucible mode in the original game, and while it
doesn’t hit nearly as hard in the sequel, it’s still a weapon worth owning. This raises the question
of where it is. Today, we’ll show you how to obtain Thorn in Destiny 2. By the end, you should
have learned everything you need to know about making this rifle your own.
Thorn’s training entails completing a quest.
It wasn’t long ago that obtaining Thorn in Destiny 2 was a difficult task. There was a decent
questline that required you to finish a lot of Bounties, a lot of Crucible kills, and then Strike
Savathun’s Song on a reasonably severe difficulty setting.
I vividly recall performing that Strike. It was pretty much a requirement that you have two friends
who were equally motivated to do it and die a lot so that you could all finally obtain Thorn.
A lot of what you needed to complete the original quest has been removed thanks to the Destiny
Content Vault. The destinations of Io, Titan, and Mars have been placed in storage. You also
won’t be able to play Savathun’s Song Strike because Titan is no longer in the game.
Fortunately, if you truly want Thorn, there is still a method to get it. And boy, is it a lot less
difficult.
Thorn is now available for purchase.
It’s as simple as visiting the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower to receive Thorn in Destiny 2
now, following the Destiny Content Vault. Make sure you have the following goods in your
inventory before going there:
● One Exotic Cipher
● 125,000 Glimmer
● 200 Dusklight Shards
● One Ascendant Shard
When you’re certain you have all of those currencies and materials, open the Monument and go
to the “Forsaken Exotics” section. Thorn is seated in the sixth position from the left once you’ve
entered. You should be able to purchase it now.
That’s all there is to getting Thorn in Destiny 2.
As previously said, the above method of obtaining Thorn is a lot easier than the prior road you
had to take. Do you have any doubts? Here’s pure Destiny god Esoterickk soloing Savathun’s
Song in the “Chasm of Screams” edition, but it took him 29 minutes because everything in this
scaled-up Strike was so simple to kill you.
