Coronavirus will not leave us alone, and the only way to fight the rising pandemic is to be vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccine does not protect persons from becoming infected with the virus. However, it lessens the severity and minimizes the need for hospitalization. If you haven’t already done so, getting both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine should be at the top of your priority list. You will, however, need to know how to download the vaccine certificate in addition to the vaccines, as it will become as crucial as your Aadhar card in the coming days.
You should download the certificate as soon as possible if you have received one or both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. If you are fully vaccinated, the certificate will allow you to travel freely to most states without having to undergo an RT PCR test, and you will be eligible for freebies at locations like PVR theatres. All of this, however, is only possible if you can successfully provide your immunization certificate. You can receive your immunization certificate from a variety of platforms and locations, but in today’s article, we’ll show you how to get your certificate using WhatsApp.
So, here’s how to get a COVID-19 certificate over WhatsApp.
— To assist users with COVID-related materials, the Indian government launched the My Gov Corona Help Desk WhatsApp chatbot. However, you may now download your immunization certificate via the chatbot.
— The WhatsApp number for the My Gov Corona Helpdesk is +91 9013151515. Make a note of the phone number in your contact list.
— Open WhatsApp and search for the My Gov number you saved on your phone in the search field.
— When you see a My Gov contact, open the chatbox.
— In the dialogue box that appears when you enter the conversation, type Download Certificate.
— When you type the instruction, WhatsApp will deliver a six-digit OTP to your registered mobile number. It would be easier for you if you sent a message from the number you used to register for the COVID-19 vaccine on the CoWin application.
— Locate the OTP and type it into the My Gov WhatsApp conversation window.
— If you have many users registered, WhatsApp will show you a list of them and ask you to choose one.
— Depending on the number of persons who have registered, you will be given alternatives such as one, two, or three. Fill in the number for which you’d want a certificate.
— The COVID-19 immunization certificate will then be sent to you by the Chatbox. It’s available for download on your phone.
I had registered more than two people for the COVID-19 immunization and used WhatsApp to successfully download all three certificates. You will still receive your certificate whether you are partially or fully vaccinated. Your certificate can also be downloaded using the CoWin or Aarogya Setu apps. However, because your COVID-19 certificate contains important information about you, do not share it with strangers.
