It’s sometimes beneficial to start over or take a break from something. We don’t want to carry our baggage into adulthood and try to tidy our belongings and keep our social lives clutter-free. There are a variety of reasons why you would want to delete your Instagram account, but if you’ve decided to do so, I’ll show you how.
Disable your Instagram account for the time being.
- Disable your profile if you merely want to take a break. To do so, follow these steps:
- On your phone or PC, open the Instagram web page in a browser.
- Go to your profile and login with the account you want to disable.
- You’ll see a message that says “temporarily disable my account” if you scroll down.
- Select a valid cause for your account’s suspension and proceed.
Before you delete your account, there are a few things you should know.
Look, you have to be really certain about this. There is no going back after you’ve erased your Instagram account.
After you’ve deleted this account, do the following:
- All of your account data, including photos, videos, likes and comments, and followers, is permanently deleted from the internet.
- You won’t be able to use that username again, which means you won’t be able to reactivate it, create a new account with it, or use it in another account you already have.
What is the procedure for deleting my Instagram account?
If you’re still reading this, you’re probably already doing it. So, here’s how it works…
- Open your browser and type “delete Instagram account” into the search box.
- To log in, use that account’s credentials. (If you forget your username or password, you won’t be able to delete your account.)
- Why are you deleting this account, you’ll be asked. Give the explanation you have; it is required that you do so.
- Select Delete my account permanently.
