Step 1 A Dutch oven can be used to cook the first four ingredients over medium-high heat, stirring until the meat has browned, then crumbling it.

Step 2 With a paper towel, drain the beef and wipe off the drippings. Return it to the Dutch oven with the macaroni and the remaining ingredients.

Step 3 Keep stirring it.

Step 4 Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring periodically.

Step 5 Put 2 T cheese on each serving and divide among individual serving bowls.
