Before you start, preheat the panini press on medium heat. Alternatively, if you don’t have a panini press, you can use two heavy skillets – one to place on top of the sandwich while cooking to press it.
Lightly spread honey mustard evenly over each slice of bread to add a tangy flavor.
On 4 slices of bread, layer the apple slices and cheese, using approximately ½ apple and 2 ounces of cheese for each sandwich.
Place the remaining bread slices on top to complete the sandwiches.
If using a panini press, lightly coat it with cooking spray. If using a skillet, coat it with cooking spray as well.
Grill each sandwich for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the bread has toasted to a golden brown.
Carefully remove the sandwiches from the pan or press, and you’re ready to enjoy your delicious creation!
