Definitely! Scotch eggs are a popular and delicious dish that originated in England. These consist of hard- or soft-boiled eggs wrapped in sausage meat, coated in breadcrumbs, and then deep fried or baked until crisp.

INGREDIENTS FOR SCOTCH EGGS

  • 1 1⁄2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, well chilled
  • 1⁄2 cup flour
  • 2 lbs sausage meat
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • vegetable oil, frying

DIRECTIONS

 

Step 1

Peel eggs.

Step 2

Assemble 12 portions of sausage.

Step 3

Each egg should be rolled in flour and wrapped around the sausage.

Step 4

Roll sausage-wrapped eggs in Panko breadcrumbs after dipping in beaten egg.

Step 5

Cook each egg until it is cooked and browned, about 4-5 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Step 6

Serve warm or cold with paper towels.
