How To Make Low-Sodium Meatloaf

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1⁄2 cup milk
  • 1⁄2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1⁄3 cup carrot, finely chopped
  • 1⁄3 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons Mrs. Dash seasoning mix

 

SAUCE
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 8 ounces no-salt-added tomato sauce

 

DIRECTIONS

 

Step 1

Olive oil should be used to cook onion, celery, and carrot until they are soft.

Step 2

With your hands, combine all the meatloaf ingredients in a large basin. Place in the baking pan after shaping into a loaf.

Step 3

Spread sauce over meatloaf after combining all ingredients in a small bowl.

Step 4

Bake for one hour in a 350° oven.
