How To Make Low-Calorie Asparagus & Egg Whites


  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 1⁄2 cup egg white
  • 4 1⁄2 ounces frozen asparagus cuts (half of a 9 oz pkg)
  • Pam cooking spray




Step 1

Follow the package directions to microwave the asparagus until it’s cooked.

Step 2

Drain the cooked asparagus well and separate it into halves.

Step 3

Place half of the asparagus in an 8-inch pan coated with cooking spray (like Pam). Save the remaining half for later use.

Step 4

Pour egg whites over the asparagus in the pan and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Sprinkle the cooked asparagus and egg whites with Parmesan cheese.

Step 6

Broil the dish for 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is brown and bubbly, and the eggs are set.

Step 7

Carefully turn the dish out onto a plate.

Step 8

Enjoy your delicious asparagus and egg dish!
