Troubleshooting for Visual Voicemail

If you require assistance, try the following steps. After each step, make sure to check your Visual Voicemail:

  1. Make sure you’re running the most recent version of iOS.
  2. To see if a carrier-bundle update is available, go to Settings > General > About. You’ll get a notification requesting you to install the update.
  3. To test your cellular network connection, make a call to someone.
  4. Check to see if you have voicemail set up. You may check by dialing your own phone number and leaving a message for yourself on your iPhone.
  5. Try contacting your iPhone from a different phone and leave a voicemail for yourself.
  6. You can either press and hold the 1 or use the keypad to pick the Call Voicemail option. This will send a message to voicemail. If you have any unanswered voicemail messages, it signifies that your voicemail system is functioning properly.
  7. On the Voicemail screen, tap Greeting. Choose a personalized or standard greeting.
  8. If you have more than one cellular plan on your iPhone, switch to the other one. Make an attempt to reach out to the first number and leave a message.
  9. Select Reset Network Settings from the Settings > General > Reset menu.
  10. If none of the methods above were successful, contact your carrier.
