When your screen is overloaded with app icons you don’t use, it’s inconvenient. When I have too many apps installed, I frequently become perplexed. You can organize it on your home screen, but the app drawer is a confusing mess. However, there is a solution. If you’re looking for a step-by-step guide on how to hide apps on Android, you’re in luck because I can show you how.

You have the option of hiding your program icons. You can keep your phone organized this way without having to disable or delete any apps. I’ve put together a guide on how to hide apps on Android to assist you. You won’t have to worry about a cluttered app drawer any longer.

Apps on Android smartphones that are hidden

1. Examine your phone’s capabilities.

You can uninstall app icons from the home screen on most phones without deleting the apps themselves. On Android devices, though, you can hide apps directly from the app drawer.

Step 1: Go to your app drawer and open it.

On most phones, it’s the “Apps” button in the center of the screen.

Step 2: Go to the settings of your home screen.

Select “Settings” from the “Menu” menu on the screen.

Step 3: Select Hide Apps from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Choose which app icons you’d like to hide.

For the app icons, you want to hide, check the respective boxes. Accept when you’re finished, and you’re done!

2. Hide app icons in your default launcher.

Changing your launcher is a helpful solution if you can’t hide apps on your Android device. If the term “launcher” is unfamiliar, it refers to the program that manages the layout of your Android device, as well as the appearance of your Home screen and app drawer.

You can conceal icons in most Android launchers. I’ve included a tutorial on how to use the Apex Launcher to hide your apps below.

Nova Launcher Prime, ADW Launcher, and Go Launcher are all good options if Apex Launcher isn’t what you’re looking for. Installing and using it is similar to what I’ll explain below.

Step 1: Install and open the software.

After that, install the launcher and open it by hitting the Home button.

Step 2: Select your preferred launcher.

Choose a launcher. Depending on which launcher you picked, you will now have a separate Home screen.

Step 3: Go to your launcher’s options.

Open “Apex settings” on your smartphone and tap “Drawer settings” for Apex. You may also hide apps and app icons from the launcher menu in many launchers.

Step 4: Select the apps you want to keep hidden.

Select “Hidden Apps” from the drop-down menu. You can check and uncheck the app icons that you want to hide from here.

If you don’t like Apex Launcher, there are plenty of different Android launchers to choose from.

3. Hide App – Hide Application Icon

On the Play Store, there are a plethora of apps that may be used to conceal apps on Android. Hide App – Hide Application Icon is one such example.

Step 1: Save the file to your computer and open it.

Hide App – Hide Application Icon should be installed and launched. This app does not require rooting.

Step 2: Select “Add” from the drop-down menu.

You’ll notice a square with a + sign in it. It should be tapped.

Step 3: Select the apps you’d like to hide.

By tapping the box across the app’s name, you’ll be taken to a new screen where you may choose which app you wish to conceal.

It will display you the list of apps you’ve hidden for reference when you choose and touch “Save.”
